Admin
Admins get an extra section in the console for their own institution: staff, agents, AI, billing, and security and privacy.
Staff and seats#
- Invite someone by email. They get a one-time sign-in link, which you can also copy and send yourself.
- Set their role (admin, officer, editor or viewer) and their teams.
- Remove someone and they're signed out everywhere at once. Their open cases go back to Unassigned so no student is left waiting. You can restore them later.
Admins and officers take a seat. Editors and viewers are free, so the whole content team can take part.
Agents#
Each agent is one assistant with its own site key. Here you set its scope, contact details, languages, colour, greeting and position, with a live preview, and the websites it may run on. You also copy the widget code, pause the agent and rotate its key here. See Add the widget.
AI#
Choose how answers are produced:
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| Managed | We run the models. Choose a tier: senior, officer or junior. Higher tiers handle harder questions better and cost more per conversation. |
| Your own key | Use your institution's own Anthropic account. The key is checked with one small request, stored encrypted with your institution's key, and never shown again. Switching back to managed deletes it. |
| Self-hosted model Coming | A model running in your own or an in-country environment. |
Whichever you choose, the same masking, governed tools and release check apply.
Usage and billing#
Seats and agents against your plan, conversations a day, usage by model tier, your invoices, and your billing details, including a purchase order number to show on invoices.
Invoice PDF downloads and online payment are coming. Until then, your invoices are listed here and sent to your billing contact.
Security and privacy#
- Support access. If our support team needs to look at a case to help you, we ask, and an admin approves or declines access to that one case, for a set number of hours.
- Idle sign-out: how long a console session lasts without use, from 1 to 72 hours.
- Retention: how long conversations, closed cases and students' contact details are kept.
- Data requests: a student's request to see, correct or delete their data, with a 21-day due date.
- Audit log: admin actions and every reveal of a student's details, with who did it and when.
